Loaded Caramel Doughnuts

Cook Time: 7-10 mins
Makes: 24 bites or 12 Doughnuts 

Ingredients

Doughnut Bites:

  • 100mL (5 tbsp.) vegetable oil
  • 1 egg (59g)
  • 60mL (¼ cup) milk

Glaze Coating:

  • 5 tsp hot water

Method

  1. Prepare doughnut mix as per pack instructions.
  2. To make caramel glaze add ¾ cup of brown sugar and 2 Tbsp of butter in a small saucepan. 
  3. Place on stove and stir over medium heat. Once combined, add 2 Tbsp of milk and reduce heat to simmer, stirring constantly for 7-8 minutes. 
  4. Take caramel off the stove and gradually stir in glaze mix. 
  5.  Add an extra Tbsp of milk if caramel is too thick.  
  6. Decorate with your favourite toppings.
