Crumble with Maple Vanilla Cream

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups Sunbeam Gourmet Mixed Fruit
  • 4 Granny smith apples, peeled
  • ¼ cup CSR Caster Sugar
  • 1 tsp Masterfoods Ground Cinnamon
  • ¾ cupwater
  • 125g Butter, melted
  • ¾ cup White Wings Plain Flour
  • ¾ cup Sunbeam Almond Meal
  • 1 cup Rolled Oats
  • ¾ cup CSR Brown Sugar
  • 1tsp Queens Vanilla Bean Paste

Cream:

  • 300ml Pouring cream
  • 2 Tbsp Queens Maple Syrup
  • ½ tsp Queens Vanilla Bean Paste
  • ¼ tsp Masterfoods Ground Cinnamon

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Place mixed fruit, apple, caster sugar, cinnamon and water into a saucepan. Bring to the boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10mins or until apple is soft.
  2. In a separate bowl mix flour, almond meal, brown sugar and oats together. Stir in butter and vanilla and mix until combined.
  3. Place fruit mixture into a 20cm oven proof pie dish and top with the crumble mixture. Bake for 15mins.
  4. Combine cream, maple syrup, vanilla and cinnamon in a jug. Serve with the warm Christmas fruit crumble.
